Despite its exclusive location between the Place Vendôme and the Opéra Garnier, the Hôtel Westminster has a particular warmth and coziness often lacking in the neighborhood. It has the comfortable luxury of a private Parisian mansion, with a refined Michelin-stared restaurant and laid-back British-style bar with deep leather chairs, fireplace, and live jazz on the weekends. State-of-the-art touches include WiFi Internet access in public areas and a business/computer center. The bright rooftop spa and fitness center (opened in 2002) features a beautifully tiled steam room and views over the city. The 102 soundproofed guest rooms are decorated in classic Parisian style with period furniture and marble fireplaces. They’re equipped with satellite TV, duvet comforters, minibar, bathrobes, cordless phones with voice mail, high-speed Internet access, and marble bathrooms with heated towel racks and designer toiletries. Some rooms also have a bidet and double sink. If they got rid of the Astroturf on the first inner courtyard it would be perfect. It’s possible to find good promotional rates for this hotel on the web.
